Before the devastating earthquake in Al Haouz, Ibrahim Ait Hssaine, a resident of Alousse village in the Ighil commune, supported his wife and three children through farming and construction work. Like many families in the region, he relied on agriculture and livestock to provide a stable income. The earthquake changed everything. His crops were destroyed, all of his livestock perished, and the livelihood he had spent years building disappeared overnight, leaving his family facing an uncertain future.
In the aftermath of the disaster, Amal Association launched livelihood recovery initiatives to help affected families rebuild their lives. Ibrahim joined the beekeeping project. Although he had always dreamed of becoming a beekeeper, he had never been able to afford the necessary equipment. Through the project, he received beehives, equipment, and comprehensive training, giving him the opportunity to start a completely new source of income.
