The Journey Behind Our Honey
This honey is not just a product…
After the devastating earthquake, everything changed. Homes were destroyed, and dreams came to a sudden halt.
The story began when we met with AMAL Association, which came to the commune of Ighil to support the communities affected by the earthquake. We, the sons and daughters of this region, sit with the association and decided not to give up.
We did not have great resources, only a strong determination and a land rich in aromatic and medicinal plants. From this emerged the idea of beekeeping and honey production.
AMAL Association provided us with the necessary material, training and moral support. We placed our first beehives with our own hands and cared for them as we cared for our hopes… day after day.
This is how we began again, with hope, working toward the creation of a cooperative that would carry the name Ighil Amal Cooperative, allowing us to organize our work and develop it within a structured framework.
Months passed, and the moment we had been waiting for finally arrived…
The first drop of honey.
It was not just natural honey; it was the taste of patience, the fragrance of our land, and the story of a community rising again.
Today, when you buy this honey, you are not simply buying a product… you are contributing to:
- Supporting families affected by the earthquake
- Creating local employment opportunities
- Preserving nature and plant biodiversity
This honey… is a story of hope.
Ighil Amal Cooperative… Together, we are hope.
